We're starting to see some new music and some great upcoming shows after the Christmas break, and we've got some eagerly anticipated new music to share and a few shows to chat about. Unfortunately, we lost one of the world's great songwriters this weekend as the great David Olney died doing what he loved to do. Criminally underappreciated by the masses, Olney was a true songwriters' songwriter and today we listened to a bunch of his own recordings and those of others performing his songs. What a loss!

It's back! Again! A full day of wonderful, weird, and WTF music. Things start out great with some of the very best of 2019, we move into some great 'Mats music, spin some requests and suggestions, some of the recently released, exciting list of performers appearing at the Static Roots Festival 2020, and some female secret weapons. These marathons are best used as an outlet for weird stuff that I don't normally get to play on air, so we rocked out to some loud rock 'n' roll, had a bunch of whiskey (songs), listened to some namedropper songs, got into some hip-hop, some soul, and got into the time machine and revisited some really old guilty pleasures. 12 hours of fun and great music!
