The new album from Easton Stagger Phillips is FINALLY out, so time for you to pick up a copy of one of the greatest albums of the year! We've also got other good stuff, just the way you like it. Jeremy also pops in to tell us what he's, um, up to, tonight (listener discretion advised!)
I have to be honest. It's been a while, and I can't remember or figure out what the theme of this show is, but I sure did play some great songs. Have a listen and see if you can figure out what the point is. Let me know? (and yes, I realize that I could just listen to it myself, but I don't want to!)
It's May Day! That means I have a good excuse to play a bunch of tracks from one of my very favourite albums of all time! We've also got more great new music and a look ahead to the return of one of Canada's greatest roots rockin' bands, Skydiggers!
More great new music, including Record Store Day goodies, and a couple of great upcoming shows to preview!
It's Bad Thursday, and we're off to see Sunparlour Players tonight, so a bit of an abbreviated episode. A look back at a great Bad Thursday from our past, and a look ahead to this weekend's Record Store Day!
New music! Lots of it! It's good! Listen!
Show reviews & previews aplenty, including Juno madness, Ridley Bent, Sweet Alibi, Matt Epp, and more, along with an unreleased gem from our namesake, Mike Plume!
Upcoming shows! New music! Fun stuff! Oh my!
The new NQ Arbuckle album is on its way, so we see what we think. We've also got a new one from Whitehorse that's got us in the mood to parlez francais (or something like that.) Sunparlour Players and New Country Rehab are coming up, and Del Barber's doing release shows. Phew, that's a show!
Live music, new music, and some rockin' classics from the 90s. Huh? It'll make sense if you listen. I think.
Celebrating great live music, including the battle between Ron Hynes and Old Man Luedecke/Jordie Lane, and the return of Peter Cash & Skydiggers! Other good stuff, too. Just listen.
A slightly abbreviated episode tonight so we can dash off to see Mary Gauthier w/Scott Nolan & Joanna Miller! We celebrate the all-too-short career of a band we love, Joy Kills Sorrow, as they prepare to move on to other projects. We've also got some leftover Valentines' Day music courtesy of the Sweetheart compilation series.
Tonight, a visit by one of the finest songwriters to ever emerge from Winnipeg, Jeffrey Hatcher. In working with bands like The Fuse, The Six, Jeffrey Hatcher and the Big Beat, and the legendary Blue Shadows, Hatcher has cemented his reputation as one of this country's finest. Now, he returns with a great new disc featuring his brothers and longtime bandmates, Hatcher-Briggs.
