Last night Andrew Neville & The Poor Choices ended off a 12 year run of weekly Wednesday shows with a big bash at The Cavern. That got me in the mood for some classic outlaw country and a bunch of goofy tunes as well.
After 12 years, Andrew Neville & The Poor Choices are wrapping up their Wednesday residency this week. Over those years, the band has invited a lot of very talented guests to come and open up the show. Andrew drops in to play some songs from some of the many greats who have stopped in over the years.
It’s our annual Pledge-O-Rama special, this year featuring very special live guest William Prince! We’ve also got the premiere of the new album from Scott Nolan and Willie Sugarcapps!
It’s Pledge-O-Rama time again! This is the one show a year where we turn the power over to the listeners and ask them to help keep us going and growing. The generous support of our listeners puts the wind in our sales and helps us to fix broken equipment and take on new projects. We’ve been very lucky to have such great support from our listeners. In return, we try to put on an extra special show. Today we have the world premiere of the brand new album from Winnipeg icons the D. Rangers and we have some other Winnipeg icons, The Fuse (aka Hatcher-Briggs) live in the studio to sing and chat!
On Thanksgiving weekend, I thought I’d take a trip down memory lane and play some of the albums that have meant the most to me in my life. These are albums that helped guide me here and keep me here today, and albums that I consider among my very best friends – ones I turn to over and over again. A much more personal, sentimental show than we usually do, but one absolutely full of great albums, all of which I’d highly recommend that you pick up for yourself.
Tonight a whole pile of classics as well as some of the best of 2014, in honour of the upcoming release of our Pledge-O-Rama compilations. We’ve also got shows to discuss, both upcoming and one that just happened.
Today, some music from some crowdfunding campaigns going on, a few political numbers, a look ahead to a Sunset Saloon show, and a special set of music by cancer survivors.
We’ve got a whole pile of exciting upcoming shows to preview, as well as some new music and some solid, certified classics to bring in the month of October!
