It's another busy concert week in Winnipeg, but without a doubt, the two biggest highlights are the long-awaited album release show for the new Leaf Rapids album Citizen Alien and the even longer-awaited reunion of legendary Winnipeg band Acoustically Inclined! Keri & Devin Latimer stopped by to chat about the Leaf Rapids show and Kerry Krishna & Mira Black stopped by for a conversation and some live music getting us even more excited about their show on Saturday!
Today we're visited by singer/songwriter/radio host Sean Burns. He hosts a great show called Boots & Saddle on Winnipeg's other great campus & community station, CKUW. That station is in the midst of their annual FunDrive, and one of this year's most exciting station incentives is a deluxe CD recording of a star-studded show that took place late last year, called A Night of Country Music. Sean came by to talk about that in hopes of drumming up some support for their station. We sat around and swapped stories and listened to great country music for the rest of the show.
Consider supporting CKUW this week (or any time, really). With a $95.90 pledge, you can get a copy of the great CD! Visit ckuw.ca/donate
